Dr. Manjula Raguthu ranked top 1 percent in MCAT

BROWNSVILLE, TX, January 6, 2015, Dr. Manjula Raguthu, Physician and Director of Medwin Family Medicine & Rehabilitation, has been named a Worldwide Branding Executive/Professional/Entrepreneur of the Year in Family Medicine. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only small selections of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.

Dr. Raguthu has spent more than 25 years nurturing a growing skill set which has allowed her to thrive in the medical field. She took on leadership roles that thrust her into the forefront of the medical arena early on in her professional endeavors, serving as Junior Secretary of the Government College for Women and the Ladies Joint Secretary of the Guntur Medical College, and as a member of the RRC Preparedness Committee at a Family Practice Residency Program at SVCMC. She was also a member of a Curriculum Development Committee at a Family Residency Program at SVCMC, a GME representative of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at the Catholic Medical Centers of New York, and a Delegate of the Committee of Residents and Interns. Dr. Raguthu currently motivates patients, conducts health interventions on an individual basis, and supervises the medical staff at Medwin Family Medicine & Rehabilitation, and she also oversees the primary care clinic. She is also in charge of assigning clinical duties.

Dr. Raguthu received a Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology after earning a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery from Guntur Medical College. She is Board Certified in Family Practice and she was Re-Certified in Family Practice, as well; she also holds an Advanced Trauma Life Support Certification, and accreditation as a Certified Medical Coder, a Certified Medical Office Management, and a Certified Compliance Officer.

Dr. Raguthu is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians. She is also an affiliate of the American Anti-Aging Academy. She was named one of the Best Family Physicians in America by the Consumer’s Research Council of America (2009, 2006, 2004), and she was also honored with an Exemplary Leadership Award in 2001. She ranked 32nd amongst the Family Practice Boards in America, and she also earned distinctions in microbiology and ophthalmology. Dr. Raguthu earned an overall percentile of 97.3 in medical school, and she was a topper in Physiology, Surgery, and Obstetrics and Gynecology.
